Our Story

The idea behind the formation of Sift Baking Studio, LLC evolved from table discussions alongside novice bakers, a chef, and myself. Among those that know me, I am labeled as “Fine Dining Expert and Connoisseur of Desserts”.  And my husband who has learned to understand that hosting a large dinner party at home will more than likely be a chef catered event.

Fast forward, I am now venturing into unknown waters by starting up a concierge delivery baking company which would have been voted as the least likely industry I would have ever taken on. Especially after sitting down with pen/paper to think strategically about how to truly enhance a customer’s experience with consistency, I almost backed out!

Because I strongly believe that, “ If you think you can do it better, then maybe you should be the one doing it .” So that’s why, I am doing it!

Until now, I’ve always dedicated baking to Holidays and Church Culinary Committee. And the hidden truth is that I’m actually an excellent baker but I have never being motivated to bake because I really didn’t have to.

For me, its been as simple as this: Why bother? Having the luxury of nearby bakeries like Bird’s Bakery for Lemon Pound Cake; Tart Bakery’s scrumptious artistic Royal Iced Cookies that look too good to eat. And last, I can’t forget a pop into Empire Baking Company for a slice of moist Citrus Olive Oil Cake to compliment that much needed Chai or London Fog Latte at Starbucks.

Well…I guess it took a global pandemic for me to return to the most under-utilized area inside my home known as the kitchen. Today, it’s where I spend most of my time recreating foods and desserts my husband and I have missed so very much while suffering from a moderate case of “hypo-sucro-carbo-pathy’’.  A pseudonym for an undiagnosed medical condition sometimes caused by temporary business closures of your favorite local restaurant or bakery.

I believe these events were the deciding factors for me to share my personal favorites by collaborating with an energetic team of bakers, confident in their craft with a loyal following as proof. Hence, Sift Baking Studio was born. We are excited about delivering your new cravings. I have no doubt – you will too!
